XpectaVet™ carries a family tradition deeply rooted in Chicago. XpectaVet was founded by Dr. James Bascharon and his wife Sarah. The two of them were both born and raised in the Chicago area. They wanted to create a unique business that provided superior medical care, matched with personalized service, all with minimal stress on the animal. The results have been phenomenal with many satisfied people and pets alike!

Dr. James Bascharon had an early start to his veterinary career working with his father Dr. Amin Bascharon who founded Oak Park Animal Hospital and Ambassador Animal Hospital. These two hospitals have been serving our community for over 40 years. Dr. James Bascharon has extensive experience as a general veterinarian working with dogs, cats, and exotic pets. He also found a strong interest in emergency medicine and has worked at an emergency clinic for the past 5 years.

Along with Dr. James, his sister Dr. Dina Bascharon is another important member of XpectaVet. Dr. Dina Bascharon has over 10 years of experience working as a veterinarian. She has earned the trust and loyalty of many clients with her warm personality, her love for animals, and her exceptional skills.
